About Frank
So who is this Frank that write “The Soft Lounge?” Well you probably already know the answer to that question, and you’re just clicking here to be polite-but on the off chance that you don’t really know me, here are a few of the things that I am…
Professionally: I am an attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. on the whole it’s a pretty awesome job.
Newly Professionally: I am a Adjunct Professor of Philosophy. This, on the whole, is a lot more fun than being an attorney but pays a whole lot less.
Entirely Amateurishly: I am a Stand-up Comic. No really, look at me perform at the Improv. I had to pay them to let me me do that. I enjoy this the most but it has paid a grand total of $25 so far-all of which was blown on Whiskey.
Academically: I’ve attended Greece Arcadia High School just outside of Rochester, NY (Where I grew up), The University of Rochester for Undergraduate School (Where I studied Philosophy, Political Science and Religion and Classics) and the George Washington University for Law School.
Fanboyishly: I am a reader of Comic Books, although I grow more weary of the tight-wearing kind every day. I think LOST is the best show on TV, but that’s mostly because they’ve canceled Carnivale and Arrested Development. I root mostly for Sports teams from Western New York. I have Season tickets to see the Washington Nationals and the GW Colonials Men’s basketball team.
Personally: I have two parents and a sister. They have pets, but I don’t. They are back in the hometown of Rochester, NY, but I live in Washington, DC which I much prefer. I ain’t got no wife or kids, but I do have a Samurai Helmet which is kind of cool looking. Unlike the picture above, I really don’t wear a beard anymore and my hair is a bit longer. It used to be Jesus long with a Jesus beard, but I shaved that ages ago. I like coffee a lot.
So what is The Soft Lounge?
Good question. “The Soft Lounge” was originally a place in our Law School with nice comfy couches to fall asleep on drunk. I took the name for my comic strip which I did for the school’s paper, and then on my own via the Web. It’s still there, but I don’t really do it anymore (maybe someday). It would probably make more sense to use my name for me web site, but I just like the name a lot: It’s got a bit of juxtapose to it, and the words “Soft” and “Lounge” are kind of relaxing but still attentive. They have a couple of different meanings between them and as a couple they’ve served me well so far.
