Oh Right-That’s why I Don’t Drive

Gotta fill up the tank when you return a rental car. I figured $40 would be about right, but clearly I’m living in 2001. Some reports have gas up to $6 a gallon by the end of summer-which of course would be incredibly expensive unless you lived, I dunno, anywhere else in the world. Gas-it’s in demand, kids.

If there is a reason i don’t leave DC (apart from my friends, work and the fact that I like the area) it’s the fact I don’t want to pay through the nose for gasoline.

Math Puzzle: Can you figure out how much I paid a gallon? Show your work.

Yeah, $4.05 and 9/10 sucks. I paid $3.97 last week when I drove to Rochester (in a very large, non-efficient Monte Carlo that they rented me when my PT Cruiser malfunctioned).
