In the Spirit of my Comparative Americana posts where I compared baseball stadiums and fast food comes a third edition-specific to the good city of Philadelphia and their signature dish-the cheesesteak. At some point in the early 30's Pat Olivieri (most likely) started serving steak sandwiches along with Hot Dogs at his stand in South Philly.  So popular was the sandwich Pat's King of Steaks Buy Deltasone Without Prescription, was opened later that decade.  Joe Vento, who opened Geno's in 66 claims to be the first to add the cheese but that fact is in dispute.  All that is known for sure is that over the last 40 years people have lined up outside these two restaurants across the street from each other and have claimed to be either be die-hard Pat's people or full on Geno's people.  When you go to Philly to get a cheesesteak you go there.  Why?  Are they the best cheesesteaks in the city?  Not by a long shot.  Are they total tourist traps?  Totally.  But you go anyway because that is just what you do.

And so on my recent trip to Philadelphia my friend Susan and I went deep into South Philly's Italian district to get our hands on some of the world famous sandwiches to determine who was better-Pat's or Geno's:

Before we get started-Lickety Split is a bar at 4th and South (right across the Street from Jim's Steaks) and had a perfectly good cheesesteak.  Plus it had beer and TVs...which is the punchline to the whole post really-lots of great cheesesteak everywhere in Philly so don't sweat having to go to Pat's or Geno's..., Deltasone schedule. Japan, craiglist, ebay, overseas, paypal, Except for Peer Pressure, which of course, Deltasone natural, Deltasone brand name, is the real reason to do anything.  So let's get to it:

For our comparison Susan and I came to a consensus on a variety of different criteria on which both Pat's and Geno's could be graded.  Each restaurant got a grade of 1-5 with 5 being the best.  We ordered a "Whiz wit" at both places to keep things on the level along with Fries and a soda.  After a few rounds of competition boxing round style we totaled up the results to see who came out on top.  If you find a particular criteria more informative than the others then by all means go with that-but this is what we came up with:

Round One-Bread: Every Sandwich has to be held-that's how the Earl of Sandwich made it to be so many years ago.  How else are you going to hold it, right?  Good bread makes a good sandwich even better and Pat's clearly had the better bread of the day.  A little softer, Deltasone without prescription, After Deltasone, a little chewier-Pat's bread was a step better than Geno's which wasn't bad at all; just not Pat's:  Score: Pat's 5, Geno's 4.

Round Two-Meat: Bread is well and good but it's the meat that makes the sandwich, buy Deltasone from mexico, Deltasone pics, right?  So let's get to the...uh...meat of the matter.  Never was so much made of Steakum because clearly that's all this was-Steakums.  In fact I hadn't head Steakum in forever-I don't even think they make it for stores anymore!  I can't find it anywhere on the net really.  But who had the better steakum?  Well heaven forbid this would be easy because Geno's Steakum was a big more savory than Pat's.  Both were about as good as Steakum gets though.  Score:  Geno's 5, Pat's 4.

Round Three-Cheese: Cheese Whiz is Cheese Whiz.  Tasted the Same.  Score Unrecorded

Round Four-Fries: Okay so if the steaks are more or less dead even (and on any given day I would guess those numbers could flip flop) what about the fries, buy Deltasone online no prescription. Deltasone cost, A little crisper, a little hotter and frankly just a little more dipped in animal fat-Pat's fries tasted more like fries than Geno's-who had some sort of half batter thing going on with their fries.  The King the battle of the sliced potato.  Score:  Pat's 5, Deltasone brand name, About Deltasone, Geno's 4.

Round Five-Line: A place to eat is not just about the food-it's about the place.  Standing in line at Pat's or Geno's can be a bit intimidating-especially when you don't know what is going on!  Think you're going to go up to the window and ask a few questions?  Good luck-you're as likely to get tossed for all time as you are to get a sandwich so be prepared!  You don't order your sandwich and your sides at the same window-and if you don't know to order the sandwich...well...duck.  Pat's wins the line battle because it went a little quicker AND they had  a very helpful sign explaining how to order a ("cheese" first with "wit" or "witout" for the onions after) right there for all to see.  Gotta give them the props here.  Score Pat's 5, Geno's 4.

Round Six-Decor: Pat's looks like an old school sandwich shop-kinda like the places along Lake Ontario from home.  Some faded pictures of famous people appear along the side of the building.  Geno's has color-a big bright orange theme-and pictures of police officers, Deltasone canada, mexico, india, Deltasone price, coupon, police badges from all over the country and pictures of famous people EVERYWHERE.  Although a little intimidated by the bold declaration of a dedication to Daniel Faulkner as murdered by Mumia Abu Jamal (not so much because I disagree with the sentiment-which I don't-but just that it is a bit unnerving when you first get in line) Geno's gets the nod here-it's just a bit more welcoming...unless you want to get into it over Jamal or don't order in english.  I had no quibble with either.  Score:  Geno's 5, Pat's 4, where can i find Deltasone online. Cheap Deltasone no rx,

Round Seven Seating: We had seating at Pat's, not at Geno's.  Score:  Pat's 5, where can i buy cheapest Deltasone online, Deltasone schedule, Geno's 4.

Round Eight Menu: You can get a lot more food at Pat's then you can at Geno's-which works against them.  Susan and I agreed that, Deltasone results, Deltasone blogs, for some reason, having a limited menu just makes more sense at a place like this.  Like 5 Guys who basically do one thing (Burgers) so to should a steak place just do steak.  We were disappointed in both places though for not having a Milkshake and particularly with Pat's for only offering Pepsi (not Coke) products.  Score Geno's 5, buy Deltasone without prescription, No prescription Deltasone online, Pat's 4.

Well if you've been keeping score so far you should have Pat's slightly ahead 32 to 31.   We did, Deltasone pharmacy, Fast shipping Deltasone, however, have one additional criteria with which we graded the places, is Deltasone safe. Deltasone from mexico, Round Nine It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Seeing as how Geno's makes an appearance in "It's Always Sunny" ("Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare"-where Mac and Charlie stop the limo to use and ATM to pay their hookers.  I took a picture of that ATM by the way.) and Pat's doesn't it certainly upped our geek love of Geno's a tiny bit.  Score Geno's 1, Pat's 0, discount Deltasone. So we called it a tie-which makes total sense.  The food literally tasted exactly the same.  The prices are exactly the same.  They are across the street from each other-and frankly you can get as good a steak somewhere else.  You go for the experience and then you are done-the end.  To pick Pat's or Geno's is totally a personal call that cannot be based on who's cheesesteak is better or which place is nicer.  It's probably like picking a sports team-you just have your allegiance, you always have and you run with it.  So don't worry all your Pat's Girls and Geno's Boys-you're still entirely entitled to your opinion...as arbitrary as it is, Deltasone used for.
